Who is PIP Coaching?
Hello. I am Pip Richardson

From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people. At 12 years old, I was convinced I would either become a Physiotherapist for the Royal Ballet or an F1 driver. Neither quite happened… but I did become a Physio — and that part turned out to be exactly where I was meant to be.
I’ve spent over 20 years working within the NHS across a wide range of settings, with 15 of those years specialising in Neurology. I’ve worked in acute and rehabilitation environments, supporting people as inpatients, outpatients, and within the community. Along the way, I’ve gained extensive experience with neurological conditions including stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and many more.
Over time, my passion has evolved beyond physical rehabilitation alone. I became deeply interested in mindset, identity, and how people relate to movement and exercise. I love helping people set meaningful goals — but even more than that, I love seeing the moment when someone realises they are capable, and that they can create a new story for their future.

My Commitment to Your Wellbeing
Alongside my clinical work, I completed a Life Coaching Diploma with The Coaching Academy over five years (not the original plan!). In hindsight, that time was invaluable. It allowed me to build real confidence and depth as a coach, and to apply those skills not only in my work, but in my own life and relationships. I believe strongly in leading by example.
I’ve faced many personal challenges along the way. On the outside, I’ve always appeared calm and chilled, but internally I carried a lot of self-doubt. I constantly compared myself to others and told myself I wasn’t clever enough, fast enough, pretty enough, or fun enough. Repeating those beliefs daily made them feel true — until I realised they were just beliefs. And beliefs can be changed.
Through reading, audiobooks, podcasts, and learning about psychology, habits, movement, and nutrition, I slowly began to rewrite those stories. Bit by bit, things shifted.
And now, the belief I choose to live by is this:
I am enough.

Living with a neurological condition, illness or injury can change everything — your body, your confidence, and the way you see your future. But it doesn’t take away your ability to grow, adapt, and create a life that still feels meaningful and fulfilling.
If you’re ready to move differently, think differently, and create a future that feels more like you, the next step is simple. Reach out, start the conversation, and let’s explore what’s possible together.
